Dear Church,

One of the joys of being a Christian is our ability to use our gifts and talents to glorify Christ.  As a church we witness this regularly as members of The Journey encourage and pray for each other throughout the week.  When we come together on Sunday we have the privilege to not only serve, but also to build up and encourage those who are taking their next steps towards Christ.  We believe that every member of The Journey should be using their gifts to serve. 

On Sunday June 12 The Journey is going to hold a Ministry Fair to encourage all of our members to come alongside our Sunday Morning Ministries as we serve our church together. Leaders from some of our Sunday Morning ministries will  be sharing their hearts and asking you to join them.  After service, we’ll all go to the courtyard for strawberry shortcakes!  The Ministry Fair will take place at both services. 

So here’s how you can help now.  We need volunteers to get the strawberries and cake ready for the fair.  Please let me know how you can help with any of the following:

• 1) Shopping and Baking- going to need quite a few short cakes for the church.  We plan to keep it consistent and all buy the same boxed cake mix (to be determined.)
• 2) Cutting Strawberries- We need people with knives to come cut the mountain of berries we’ll have. Plan to meet on Saturday and stay for as long as you can! 
• 3) Courtyard setup- we’ll need a few tables and chairs brought out before the 9:30service.  Also looking for people to decorate and someone to make signs for the five ministries that will have sign ups.  Nothing too crazy, just simple.  
• 4) Courtyard clean up- put away those few table and chairs after the second service has ended.
