“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” ~Romans 12:1 NIV

If you have any questions about these volunteer opportunities, please email Dottie at: Dottie@TheJourneyLI.com, or fill out a Connect Card during the service.

*NURSERY VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED: THE NURSERY IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ONLY FOR PARENTS AND TODDLERS TO USE. DUE TO COVID, WE ARE NOT PROVIDING SERVICES IN THE NURSERY.  Please consider volunteering your time in the Nursery during the second service after worship is finished. We would love for you to come to the first service on the day you volunteer so that you are not missing your time to be refreshed by the Word. If you are interested in serving once every six weeks, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us, and Maggie, the nursery ministry leader, will contact you.

*SMILES CLUB: Do you like to smile? Are you friendly and enjoy conversing with others? If so, this ministry might be for you! You will be greeting people as they enter the church one Sunday a month with a warm smile. The goal is to serve others and make each person who enters feel welcome.

*SOUND TEAM: This team runs our audio and visual equipment, records the service, and streamlines to FB and Youtube. We have a great team who will teach you all you need to know. We hope that you would only need to volunteer once a month.

*USHERS: Our ushers are men and women who help our guests, and members find seating once the service has started. You will also pass the offering basket during the announcements. If you consider yourself warm and friendly, reach out, and we will put you in touch with Christian.

*BUILDING AND GROUNDS: This ministry is responsible for anything from changing light bulbs, planting flowers, or just fixing the broken! If you feel pretty handy and have some time to spend at church, we can find some work for you to do. Lionel is the ministry leader.

*MEALS ON WHEELS: Do you like to cook? Are you in a position to provide a gift card for someone in need? We love to provide meals for a new mom, a member who had surgery, or a family suffering from an illness.  Cookie is the ministry leader.
