NEED TO REACH US? WE LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

Philippians 4:6-7 New International Version (NIV)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 46 New International Version (NIV)

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; He burns the shields with fire. 10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” 11 The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.

*A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR + DOTTIE + PASTOR MIKE- CONCERNS ABOUT THE CORONAVIRUS:

Dear Church Family,

As you all know we have been keeping our ears open, our eyes wide and our minds set on the Lord.

As we have been watching the continuous outbreak of the Coronavirus, we want to follow the guidelines of our local leaders and state wide authorities but first and foremost, we want to protect our church family and your extended families.

With that being said, we have decided to cancel not only our Sunday service, but any ministry events and activities that are scheduled for this week. This will include home groups at the church, Jesus Jewels, Celebrate Recovery and Friday night Youth Group.

We will continue to monitor the situation and make decisions based on the information we are receiving through the CDC and our local leaders. We will keep you informed when we decide to resume services. Please know we are canceling the services for the safety of our church family and our community.

Pastor Josh and Dottie prepared a message for Sunday, March 15th, 2020 and is now online. You can watch it on FB on TheJourneyChurchLI page or click on this link Youtube @ media production team the journey

The Word of God admonishes us at least 365 times, one for each day of the year. Do Not Fear!  Do Not be Afraid! God has not given us a spirit of fear……………… So press into God during this time and be a light to those around you who are gripped with fear. We do not walk in fear even now. We have a God who is with us, who sees us and who provides His peace in the midst of the worlds chaos. What a reminder this virus is, that we did not create the world, or the life that we live. But, Jesus, the Christ we serve, He is by no means surprised by any of it.

Please take the time to read these two attachments and then ask the Lord to instill His peace in your heart.

Read and meditate on Psalm 46 and Psalm 91.

With love,
Pastor Josh and Dottie
